Description
The waterfall at Seeley’s Pond Dam is an easy-to-reach 20-foot man-made waterfall. Access is incredibly easy, and it is visible from the roadway or via a short walk. The waterfall is located a short distance upstream from Green Brook Falls. Note: Seeley’s Pond is on Blue Brook while Green Brook Falls is on Green Brook. Just below the dam, Blue Brook flows into Green Brook.
Parking
Parking is available at the Seeley’s Pond Picnic Area on Valley Road at 40.669333, -74.403278. This parking area holds about 60 cars.
Directions
There are two main ways to reach the waterfall at Seeley’s Pond Dam, one for each side. Crossing Blue Brook below the dam is prohibited.
Route 1
- From the Seeley’s Pond Picnic Area parking lot, locate the obvious gazebo
- When looking at the gazebo, locate and obvious, yet unmarked trail to the right
- Follow this trail a couple hundred feet until you reach the dam.
Route 2
- From the Seeley’s Pond Picnic Area parking lot, locate the field adjacent to the driveway
- Cross the field to an unmarked trail
- Follow this trail until you reach Sky Top Drive
- Turn right onto Sky Top Drive to cross a bridge over Blue Brook
- After the bridge turn right onto an obvious unmarked trail. You will also see the marked White Trail here. Do not take this trail
- Follow the unmarked trail for about a quarter mile until it reaches an intersection with numerous trails.
- Continue straight at this intersection to where you can see Seeley’s Pond Dam from above.
- Work your way down the steep hillside to the waterfall
