Potters Falls is a relatively unknown waterfall along the Lamington River near the unincorporated community of Pottersville.
Reaching the waterfall is challenging and is best done from the eastern side of the river by bushwhacking in from the hunting parking area of Hacklebarney State Park. To do so, park at “Sportsman Lot 4” on Hacklebarney Road. The parking lot is not on any GPS, but its coordinates are 40.720556, -74.720917. From there, walk back to Hacklebarney Road and turn right. A couple of hundred feet down the road, you will see an old gate with a woods road behind it. Take the woods road until you begin to hear the waterfall below. The road does not lead down to the waterfall, and you will need to make your own path down to the river. The terrain gets progressively steeper as it approaches the water. This waterfall is slightly downstream from an unnamed waterfall, and it is recommended to visit them together.
Potters Falls is a small drop into a large pool. Unlike the unnamed waterfall upstream, it is very easy to see the entire waterfall at once. However, reaching the waterfall is much more challenging due to the steep rocks lining the river.
