Hasenclever Iron Trail

The Hasenclever Iron Trail is a lightly trafficked trail connecting Long Pond Ironworks with Ringwood State Park. The trail also passes through Tranquility Ridge County Park. The trail mostly follows old woods roads over gentle inclines and is overgrown in sections, especially outside of Long Pond Ironworks. The trail did sustain some moderate fire damage from the Jennings Creek Fire in 2024.

The Hewitt-Butler Trail is a lightly trafficked path that connects Norvin Green State Forest to Long Pond Ironworks. The trail features a few moderate hills across some rocky areas.

The Highlands Trail is a 180-mile trail extending from Pennsylvania into New York. The section at Long Pond Ironworks features a handful of moderate-difficult rocky hills featuring a few overlooks. The trail passes through the Long Pond Historic District before entering Tranquility Ridge County Park and the New York border. The trail north of the Long Pond Historic District sustained major fire damage from the Jennings Creek Fire in 2024. The trail is open but features numerous fallen trees and major overgrowth in sections due to the fire.
Jennings Hollow Trail (Yellow)

The Jennings-Hollow Trail passes through Jennings Hollow, a wet area featuring multiple beaver dams. The trail is very lightly trafficked and can be hard to follow at times, especially near wet areas, which feature extreme overgrowth. Some areas are flooded at times due to beaver activity, but can be easily bypassed.

The Monks Trail is a popular trail around Monks Mountain at the heart of the Monksville Reservoir. The trail features a handful of reservoir views along gentle hills. Parking for the trail can be challenging on weekends and holidays, as all trailheads also double as boat launches for the very popular reservoir.
