Craigmuer Ski Area

The site that is now the Craigmuer Recreation Complex used to be home to a small ski area. The ski area operated from 1937 before closing in 1998. In 2005, the property was sold to the Morris County Park Commission. More information on the history of Craigmuer Ski Area can be found here.

Property Today

Today Craigmuer is only open to events with a permit. It is not open to the general public. The lodge and a few abandoned buildings can still be seen from Green Pond Road.

Unfortunately, it does not seem like the property will be open to the public anytime soon.
