Upper Laurel Falls is an easy-to-reach waterfall on Old Mine Road in Worthington State Forest. It is just above Lower and Middle Laurel Falls. Upper Laurel Falls is the least visited waterfall along Sunfish Creek, which may be surprising as it is the biggest of the trio. However, in this case the extra height does not elevate its appearance above the shorter waterfalls.
Upper Laurel Falls is moderately difficult to get to. A short, unmarked trail from the Douglas Parking Area on Old Mine Road easily brings hikers to the tower two drops. The trail past Middle Laurel Falls is less obvious, beginning to steepen and become slippery in some sections, until it fades completely at Upper Laurel Falls. Whereas the lower two drops offer unobstructed views, Upper Laurel Falls features many blowdowns and is hard to get a good look at.
