From the New Weis Center parking lot, begin by hiking along Snake Den Road for about a quarter mile until you reach the co-blazed Yellow and Blue Trail and an information kiosk. (Note: On the trail map, there is a green trail from the parking area to this location. The Highlands Natural Pool, who own the property, has recently restricted access to the trail. They now request that you take Snake Den Road to the trailhead.) Begin on the co-blazed Yellow and Blue Trail, where you will immediately begin hiking uphill along the rocky path. At the top of this first hill, the Yellow Trail leaves to the left. Continue straight on the Blue Trail until you reach an intersection with the Red and Teal Trails. Turn left onto these trails and begin the final climb to the summit. At this point, there is a somewhat challenging rock scramble before reaching the Wyanokie High Point.

The Wyanokie High Point has excellent features 360-degree views of the Wanaque Reservoir, New York City, and the New Jersey Highlands. The summit is unique for the region, as it is a bald rock face. This allows clear views into the distance without trees blocking the view.

From the overlook, there are many more excellent miles of trails to explore, or you can choose to return the way you came to your car.
