Buttermilk Falls is a very tall waterfall in the northwest area of New Jersey. At 130 feet, it is often referred to as the tallest in the state. While that is not entirely true (in reality, the honor goes to Greenbrook Falls), this is still an impressive waterfall.

Despite being roadside, Buttermilk Falls is one of the more challenging waterfalls to reach in New Jersey due to long-term road closures and poorly maintained roads. There are a few ways to reach the waterfall; the easiest two are described in the posts below.
